The first of the free outdoor fitness schedules was just announced last week, which means its just a matter of time before they all start rolling in. This one, from the Lawn at Legacy Place, is a little farther out in the ‘burbs but is offering the same convenience and accessibility as any other fitness series you might find in the city.
The Lawn at Legacy Place returns for its second year on April 20 with free outdoor fitness programming, concerts, a food tour, and more. The entire lineup will include over 40 events for everyone from kids to fitness fanatics. You’ll be able to take Kick It By Eliza classes, yoga with Stil Studio, and mat-based barre with Pure Barre.
“We’re so thrilled to be bringing back the Lawn at Legacy for another season of can’t-miss events,” Jessica Reed, marketing manager of Legacy Place, said in a press release. “The Lawn was such a big hit with the community last year we’ve been working hard all winter on putting together a great calendar of events for the warmer weather season.”
They kicked off the season on April 13 with a popsicle party hosted by Wild Pops, a popsicle shop located in Jamaica Plain. And the whole installation will last well into fall with a final Halloween event—but who’s thinking about that? We’ve got warmer weather days on our mind.
Here’s what to expect:
Legacy Fit: Rotating schedule of workouts from Kick It By Eliza, Stil Studio, and Pure Barre. April 20-September 17, every other Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Stroller Bootcamp: May 1-September 30, every other Monday at 9:30 a.m.
Spring Yappy Hour: Bring your pup to this social get together. May 30, 5:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.

And when the Lawn isn’t booked for an event there will be outdoor furniture and lawn games for anyone to enjoy. Swing by one of the restaurants and grab a picnic lunch too, or might we suggest stopping into the new Booty by Brabants pop-up store for a little shopping?
All events are free but it is recommended you RSVP, 680 Legacy Place, Dedham, legacyplace.com.
