L.L.Bean Intro to Fly Fishing Course

If you’re new to the sport or just want a comprehensive overview of fly-fishing fundamentals, our half-day course is a fun way to learn everything you need to start catching fish.

In just a few hours with L.L Bean’s expert fishing instructors, you’ll learn the fundamentals of fly fishing – the four-part cast, hook setting, fish fighting and landing, fly-fishing etiquette and safety. After practicing these skills, you’ll fish for a variety of species while our guides offer friendly advice about the most effective techniques for enticing fish to your fly. They’ll also gladly offer first-hand insights about the best fishing locations in your area and around the world.

All necessary fly-fishing equipment is provided.
